CM Punjab Special Agricultural Plan | Boost Sesame Exports and Reduce Soybean Imports
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced a revolutionary three-year agricultural plan aimed at increasing sesame exports while reducing the import of soybean and canola. This initiative is part of the provincial government’s broader vision to enhance agricultural productivity, ensure farmer empowerment, and promote self-reliance in oilseed crops.

How to Apply
- Application forms can be downloaded from the Department of Agriculture website agripunjab.gov.pk
- Forms can also be obtained from the offices of Deputy Directors of Agriculture Extension in relevant districts.
- Deadline for submission of application forms April 24, 2025
- Draw date for selection is April 29, 2025
Key Features of the Project
- Establishment of Model Farms for Sesame Crop
A total of 592 model farms will be established to promote the cultivation of sesame using modern and innovative agricultural techniques. Each selected model farm will receive a financial grant of Rs. 30,000. - Modern Technology Adoption
Farmers will be encouraged and trained to adopt advanced production technologies for sesame to increase yield and quality.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the scheme, farmers must meet the following criteria:
- Must cultivate sesame on at least 3 acres of land.
- Agricultural practices must follow departmental recommendations.
- The farm must be located along a paved road.
Selected Districts
The initiative will be implemented in the following districts of Punjab: Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Bhakkar, Lodhran, Khanewal, Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Kot Addu, and Kasur.
